Dwight Quention Johnson, age 75, died Monday, November 6, 2021, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born on November 8, 1946, in Seneca, Kansas. Dwight served in the army during the Cold War in Germany and continued to be a patriot thru his life. He worked in maintenance for National Beef for many years. He enjoyed fishing, he was a motorcycle enthusiast and owned a Gold Wing Motorcycle. Dwight was a great storyteller who shared his knowledge of random facts. He was a movie buff and loved good old fashion Coca-Cola. Dwight enjoyed wildlife and had a special place in his heart for the unloved wildlife such as snakes and creepy crawlers. In his youth, he was a competitive body builder and continued to work out until his illness and death. With grateful hearts we remember the ways in which his long life has been a blessing to us all. Survived by His daughter, Quenana Dea Johnson (David) of Waverly, Kansas Grandchildren, Prayer Reifschneider, Deana Troi Ramsey (Dalton), Lenora Jean Kent Great Grandchildren, Dawson Ramsey and Hensley Ramsey. Brothers, Bill Johnson (Doris) of Tyrone, Oklahoma Clayton Hoover (Teresa) of Liberal, Kansas Sister, Gloria Hoover (Terry Blaser) of Liberal, Kansas and close family friends, Galen and Maria Abel of Turpin, Oklahoma Preceded in death by His mother, Betty Hoover and step-father, Gerald Hoover Visitation will be from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W. 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas. The family will be present to greet friends. Funeral Services will be at 1:30 PM, Friday, December 17, 2021, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W. 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas. Senior Pastor Dan Cox, Turpin Baptist Church, presiding. Graveside service to follow at 2:30 PM at the Tyrone Cemetery in Tyrone, Oklahoma. Memorial Donations suggest to the Wildlife Conservation Society in care of Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W. 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas.
