June Helm, age 88, died September 6, 2018, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS. She was born August 4, 1930, in Meade County, KS and was the daughter of William H. and Florence I. (Miller) Hickey.

She graduated from Liberal High School, Liberal, KS in 1948.

On March 18, 1950, she married William Aubry Helm in White Settlement, TX. He died on December 21, 2011.

She was a homemaker and worked for USD-480, as a cook at South Middle School.

She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Liberal, KS and served in the nursery for 40 years.

Survivors include:
1 Son Steve Helm Liberal, KS
2 Daughters Radeana Pruitt and husband James Muskogee, OK
Tammy Potts and husband Rick Liberal, KS
1 Sister-in-law Belva Hickey Hugoton, KS
She is also survived by Grandchildren Lori Hatch and husband Matt, John Pruitt and wife Megan, Anna Potts, and Kyle Potts and wife Morgan. 5 Great Grandchildren, Emma Hatch, Ian Hatch, Addie Pruitt, Macee Pruitt, and Kylie Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 Son John William Helm; 3 Brothers Donald, Lloyd, and Darrell “Pete” Hickey; and 2 Sisters Virginia Hickey and Marjorie Helm.

A private Graveside Service will be at a later date with Pastor Bill Prater, presiding in the Liberal Cemetery, Liberal, KS.

There will be no viewing.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Fellowship Baptist Church Nursery or Fellowship Baptist Church in care of the Brenneman Funeral Home at 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901.
