Phillip Ray Hoggatt

October 30, 1954 — March 25, 2017

Phillip Ray Hoggatt, age 62, died Saturday, March 25, 2017, at the Stevens County Hospital in Hugoton, KS. He was born October 30, 1954 in Duncan OK, the son of William Joe and Marguerite Verna (Gibson) Hoggatt.
He graduated from Hugoton High School in 1973. He married Leslee Ann McLeod on November 16, 1995 at Hugoton, KS. She survives.
He was in management for Mobil Oil Company, then Exxon-Mobil for 38 years, and then Dillco Fluid Service.
He was a member of Bethel Friends Church in Hugoton, where he served as a steward and an usher. He also helped with the CLC program for children. He was a member of the Hugoton Economic Development Board. He enjoyed working his ranch and “checking the cows”. He also enjoyed rodeo and team roping.
He enjoyed watching and participating in many sports and still holds the shot put record at Hugoton High School. He was an avid fan of the Hugoton Lady Eagles Basketball team.

Gary Hoggatt Amarillo, TX
2 Sisters
Belinda Mitts and her husband Jerry Guymon, OK
Twin sister Kay Hutchinson and her husband Jim Briston, OK
4 grandchildren
Kellen Bombach, Wren Langston, Jules Langston, and Grayson Glover
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be held at Bethel Friends Church in Hugoton at 10:00 am Thursday, March 30, 2017, with Pastor Roy Bogan presiding. Burial will be at Hugoton Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 pm to 7 pm, Wednesday, March 29, at Brenneman Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Bethel Friends Church or Diabetes Solutions of Oklahoma in honor of Kellen Bombach, in care of the Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901.
