Rafael Rodriguez-Moya, age 22, died Saturday, April 16, 2022, in Mansfield, Texas. He was born on May 6, 1999, the son of Rafael Rodriguez and Claudia Rodriguez (Moya) in Liberal, Kansas. Rafael was married to Heybi Zelaya, together they had two children. He worked in Concrete Construction for 6 years, first with Leyson Construction in Liberal, Kansas and then with Gutierrez Fencing and Construction in Mansfield, Texas. When it came to construction tying rebar for concrete was his passion. He loved spending time with his family and his children. Rafael had a talent for making everyone laugh for which he will always be remembered. Rafael is survived by His wife, Heybi Zelaya Sons, Rafael Rodriguez III, and Aaron Abdiel Alfaro Daughter, Adalynn Michelle Rodriguez Parents, Rafael, and Claudia Rodriguez Brothers, Uriel, and Gabriel Rodriguez Sister, Ashley Rodriguez He is preceded in death by Grandfather, Refugio Rodriguez Uncle, Ramon Moya, and his cousins, Adrian Moya, and Steve Moya Visitation will be from 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Thursday, April 21, 2022, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W. 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas. Rosary to follow at 7:00 PM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1510 N. Calhoun, Liberal, Kansas. Funeral Mass will be 3:30 PM, Friday, April 22, 2022, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1510 N. Calhoun, Liberal, Kansas. Reverend Augustine Owusu will celebrate the Mass.
