Bill House

Bill E. House, age 83, died Monday, February 13, 2012 at Hodgeman Co. Health Center in Jetmore, KS. He was born Jan.10, 1929 at Coldwater, KS, the son of Virgil Elvin and Aleen (Williams) House. He was a 1948 graduate of Liberal High School. He had worked for Beech Aircraft for 30 years, retiring in 1985.He was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Reapers Sunday School Class and a former member of the Odd Fellows all of Liberal, KS. He was an avid fisherman and loved playing cards and pool. On June 29, 1947, he married Billie Jean Dodd at Hugoton, KS. She survives.Other survivors include3 Daughters- Jan Shank and husband Harold of Hanston, KSJerri Rook and husband Ron of Red River, NM Jacque Tilgner of Derby, KS 6 Grandchildren – Corey Powell, Stacie Powell, Katie Ruff, Brad Shank, Rian Tilgner and Riki Donner7 Great-GrandchildrenHe was preceded in death by his Parents and Son-in-law – Rick Tilgner.Funeral service will be 1:30 pm Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012 at First Baptist Church, Liberal, with Gregg Turpin presiding. Burial will follow at Restlawn Cemetery, Liberal.Visitation will be 9 am – 8 pm Friday at Brenneman Funeral Home.Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church or St. Jude’s Children Hospital in care of Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901.
