Brian Leigh Pomeroy

Brian Pomeroy died January 14, 2012 in his home at Garden City KansasBrian was born October 10, 1956, in Seward County, Kansas and was the son of Dale and Ruth (Rinehart) Pomeroy.Brian was a long time resident of Garden City, living at Mosaic. He was loved by his many friends, care givers and guardian, Hollie Lyons and her husband Jeff and their family. Brian enjoyed music, bowling, participating in Special Olympics, traveling and attending summer camp.Survivors include one brother, Douglas Pomeroy and spouse, Peggy of Santa Fe, NM, two sisters, Raneta Pomeroy of Santa Cruz, CA and Renee Pomeroy of Phoenix, AZ.Brian was preceded in death by his mother, father and two brothers, Barry and Dennis.Cremation has taken place with a private family internment.A memorial service celebrating Brian’s life will be held Saturday, January 21 at 11:00am at the Garden City Church of Christ, 1715 Pioneer Road, Garden City, KsMemorials may be sent to Garden City Special Olympics in care of Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901
