Carol Ann Brown

Carol Ann Brown, 80, died Sunday March 11 2018.

She was born March 29, 1937 to John Evenson and Mabel Applegate Evenson at Eureka, Kansas.

She graduated Eureka High School. She married George Kowing in 1968 in Liberal, KS. George died June 1987. In 1989 she married Leonard “Pat” Patrick Brown in New Mexico. Pat died February, 2003.

She worked for John Smith as a Chiropractor Assistant. She then owned her own business as a Home Health Care Giver.

Carol was a member of the Western Avenue Church of Christ, VFW and the Women’s Auxiliary at Liberal Good Samaritan Center. She also volunteered at Crossroads Center and was G-Ma to the children. She was an avid fan of SCCC Athletics.

Survivors include Son Ray W. (Cynthia) Boone Pratt, KS.

Step Son Jim Kowing (Patsy) Liberal, KS

She is preceded in death by parents, 2 husbands a sister, Lois Meadows and brothers, Raymond Evenson and Johnny Evenson.

Funeral service will be 10:00 am Thursday March 15, 2018 at Western Ave. Church of Christ, Liberal, KS with Rev. David Rine officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 14th from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm with the family present from 3 to 4 pm at Brenneman Funeral Home.

Memorials may be given in Carols name to Crossroads Center or the Western Ave Church of Christ in care of Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd. St. Liberal, KS.
