Charles (Chuck) Millsap, Jr., 89, died on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Wheatridge Park Care Center in Liberal, Kansas. He was born on June 17, 1927, in Detroit, Michigan, to Beula and Charles F. Millsap Sr. The Millsap family moved to Liberal when Charles was a child and he spent the rest of his life except for the years he served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict.
He married Wanita Shaw on November 18, 1957, and she survives at the home.
He worked at Beech Aircraft, Woolwine’s Supply and then retired from Kansas Nebraska Gas Company.
He enjoyed hunting, maintaining a variety of collections, woodworking, gardening and family gatherings.

Daughter: Madeline (Shaw) and Husband Steve Weissenfluh Levenworth, KS.
Son: Riley Millsap Dallas, Texas
Sister: Yvonne Ellyson Arvada, Co.
2 Grandchildren: Aaron Weissenfluh and wife Melissa of Kansas City, MO; and Christy Cook of Overland Park, KS. 4 Great Grandchildren; Ayana and Apollos Weissenfluh and Seth and Hunter Lampton.
There are many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Edith Fincher and brothers, Kenneth and Glenn Millsap.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Friday, November 4, 2016 at Restlawn Cemetery in Liberal with Chaplain Jim Garcia of American Legion Post #80 presiding. Military honors by the American Legion Post #80.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:45 AM at Brenneman Funeral Home in Liberal.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Legion Post #80, Liberal, or to the Donor’s choice, in care of Brenneman Funeral Home, 1212 W. 2nd Street, Liberal, KS 67901.
