TYRONE, OK – Daniel “Dan” Hoeffner, 66, passed away Nov. 23, 2010 at his daughter’s home in Turpin, Ok. He was born Feb. 4, 1944 in Campo, Colo to Edmund and Ethel (Rodarmel) Hoeffner. Dan graduated from Campo High School in 1962. He had been a mechanic for S & H Tractor Guymon, OK and was a shop foreman Sublette Farm Equipment and also was a shop foreman at Keating Tractor in Liberal, KS. He was a member of Tyrone Baptist Church.On May 10, 1963 he married Karen Kay Ownbey in Campo, Colo. She passed away Dec. 13, 1998. He married Viola Sue Woods on Sept. 2, 1995 at his brother’s ranch in Baca County, Colo. She passed away Nov. 19, 2007.Survivors include:Two sons, Ed Hoeffner and wife Connie Guymon, Okla, Mike Hoeffner, Tyrone, Okla;Two stepsons, Jeff Schutt, Oklahoma City, Okla. Kurt Schutt and wife Denise, Denver, Colo;Two daughters, Sheryn Wells and husband J.R., Keller, Tx, Dana Robinson and Robert Place, Turpin, Okla; Step daughter, Tina Anthony and husband Stacy, Sioux Falls, South Dakota;Two brothers, Charles Hoeffner and wife Frieda, Folsom, New Mexico Karl Hoeffner and wife Pat, Lubbock, Tx;Sister-in-law Frieda Hoeffner Campo, Colo;10 grandchildren, Nicole Johnson, Kendra Wells, Wesley Wells, Cheyenne Wells, Shanna Hoeffner, Natasha Hoeffner, Braydon Robinson, Peyton Robinson, Taryn Robinson, Rayna Robinson;5 step grandchildren, Heather Anthony, Brittany Anthony, Justin Schutt, Austin Schutt and Weston Schutt;Two great grandchildren, A.J. Hoeffner and Aiden Arnold.He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Clinton and LeRoy Hoeffner and son-in-law, Billy RobinsonFuneral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Sat., Nov. 27, 2010 at the First Southern Baptist Church with Pastor Ollie Kinser presiding. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. MST at the Campo Cemetery in Campo, CO.Visitation time will be 9-8 with the family present to greet friends from 6-7:30 Friday at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home.Memorial contributions may be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901.
