Darrell L. Atchley 83 died Saturday October 23, 2010 in Stevens County, KS.He was born Dec. 7, 1926 at Gould, Oklahoma the son of L.H. (Pete) and Rassie L. (Shelby) Atchley. He attended school at Gould, Oklahoma and has been a resident of the Liberal area for the past 47 years.He was employed as a fieldman, heavy equipment operator, and welder for Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Co. retiring after 34 years of service. After his retirement he farmed for Roy Stickler for 20 years. He was of the Baptist Faith.On August 12, 1948 he married Jeri Walden in Wellington, TX. Burial will be held in Restlawn Cemetery. Visitation time will be 5 to 8pm Tuesday and 9am to 8pm Wednesday with the family present to greet friends from 6 to 7:30pm Tuesday at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers and plants memorials may be sent to the Fellowship Baptist Church Building Fund in care of Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901
