Don E. Chrisenberry

Don E. Chrisenberry, age 86, died Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Southwest Medical Center, Liberal. He was born October 9, 1926 at Blackwell, OK, the son of Edgar and Irene (Kirk) Chrisenberry. He attended schools in Blackwell and has been a resident of Liberal, KS for that past 48 years.He was self-employed and owned Chrisenberry’s Auto. He had formally worked as a service manager for Liberal Ford and Stu Emmert's Automotive Center. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during WWII. He was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church of Liberal. On November 28, 1946, he married Mary L. Smith at Winfield, Ks. She survives. Other survivors include: 2 Sons Ron Chrisenberry and wife Terry of Liberal, KS; Jack Chrisenberry and wife Susan of Ft. Myers, FL; 3 Daughters Donna Findley and husband Beaux of Tulsa, OK; Connie Hale and husband Dave of Liberal, KS; Teena Tutt and husband Rob of Tomball, TX; 1 Brother Art Chrisenberry of Garnett, KS 1 Sister Carol Chrisenberry of Iola, KS10 Grandchildren: Julie, Lisa, Daniel, Tiffini, Sonny, Amy, Triston, Brianne, Savannah and Cailen. 13 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild He was preceded in death by his Parents, one Grandchild, Jessica and one Great-Grandchild, Kamden. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am Monday, September 23, 2013 at Faith Tabernacle Church of Liberal, with Pastor Rex Petty, presiding. Burial will be at Restlawn Cemetery with Military Honors by U. S. Marine Corp Honor Guard.Visitation time will be 1-5 pm Sunday with the family present to greet friends from 1-2 pm at Brenneman Funeral Home.Memorial contributions may be sent to The Bob Dole VA Hospital in care of Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901.
