Doris May Curry

Doris May Curry, age 87, died November 22, 2012 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS. She was born January 2, 1925 in Woodward, OK, the daughter of Carney and Jewell (Jackson) Curry. She graduated from Freedom High School, Freedom, OK, on May 20, 1943. She graduated from Northwestern State College, Alva, OK in 1970, with a Masters Degree in Education. She had been a resident of Liberal since 2005.She worked as the librarian at Hugoton High School, Hugoton, KS.She was member of the Trinity Faith Church.Survivors include2 Nieces Jeanene Carlson-Manuel, Wichita, KS and Marlene Rieger, Liberal, KS.She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 Sisters Imogene Rieger, Betty Carlson, Mary Pauline Rieger and 1 nephew Monty Rieger.Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Trinity Faith Church with Pastor Dee Estes, presiding. Graveside Service will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, in the Alva Cemetery, Alva, OK.Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday.
