Edith M. “Edie” Colvin 77, died Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS.She was born December 12, 1933 in Salina, Kansas the daughter of Troy and Marquerite (Fritz) Melton.A longtime resident of Liberal, she attended Faith Tabernacle Church, and managed various restaurants.On November 17, 1952 she married Billy W. Colvin at Alva, OK. He died Jan. 23, 1998.She is survived by 3 Sons Steven W. Colvin, Liberal, KS; Ricky L. Colvin and wife Marvina, Liberal, KS; Jeffrey T. Colvin, Liberal, KS; 1 Daughter Cindy L. Schaffer, and husband Neal Tyrone, OK; 2 Brothers Harold (Bob) Melton and wife Genevieve, Kingman, KS; Donald Melton and wife Helen, Kingman, KS; 1 Sister Delores Lemley, Kansas City, MO.9 Grandchildren Jamey Holman, Eric Colvin, Richard Colvin, Macy Tottey, Catherine Colvin, Adrienne Colvin, Sarah Schaffer, Jason Schaffer, Jonathan Schaffer and 6 Great-Grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Melvin and Carl Melton.Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 13th at Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rex Petty presiding. Burial will be at Restlawn Cemetery.Visitation time will be 1:00 pm – 8:00 pm Monday and 9:00 am – 8:00 pm Tuesday with the family to receive friends from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Tuesday at Brenneman Funeral Home.Memorials contributions may be sent to the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Seward County in care of Brenneman Funeral Home, 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901
