Freda Isaacs

Freda Isaacs 98, died Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at her residence in Liberal, KS. She was born April 18, 1917 in Beaver County, Oklahoma, the daughter of Henry A & Maggie (Wiens) Wedel. She has been a resident of Beaver County for most of her life. In 1936 she graduated from Greenough High School and while attending high school played basketball. She was a homemaker and helped her husband with the farm, driving trucks and doing what needed to be done. She also worked at the Et Cetera Shop in Liberal for many years and served on the board of directors and was also a manager. She was baptized on April 25, 1932 and was a member of the Turpin Mennonite Church.On June 19, 1938 she married Ernest R. Isaacs. He died on Nov. 15, 1999. Survivors include:2 Sons Alfred “Al” Isaacs and wife Lorene Newton, KS Richard Isaacs and wife Rhonda Turpin, OK2 Daughters Phyllis Kliewer and husband Herald Dinuba, CA Julia Isaac Spring Hill, KS 1 Sister Ann Wichert Buhler, KS 9 Grandchildren Nathan Kliewer, Dinuba, CA; Shaila Brandon and husband Scott, Kingsburg, CA; Donnavon Isaac and wife Linda, Olathe, KS; LeAnn Rogers and husband Fred, Olathe, KS; Mike Isaacs and wife Lauri, Hesston, KS; Mark Isaacs, Andover, KS; Lisa Batt and husband Donovan, Turpin, OK; Russell Isaacs and wife Alice, Turpin, OK and Lori Mahon and husband Heath, Nashville, Tn.16 Great Grandchildren Cody Kliewer; Carson Lucas Brandon; Canon Brandon; Cambria Brandon; Jackson Rogers; Ryan Rogers; Kennedy Rogers; Alex Isaacs; Aaron Isaacs; Alyssa Isaacs; Andrew Isaacs; Ashlyn Isaacs; Dawson Batt; Samantha Batt; Drew Batt and Nolan Mahon.She was preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers and 2 sisters; a son-in-law and a grandson-in-law. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the Turpin Mennonite Church in rural Turpin with Pastor Terry Rediger presiding. Burial will take place at Turpin Mennonite Church Cemetery.Visitation time will be held from 9am to 8pm Friday with the family present to greet friends from 6 to 8pm. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Et cetera shop or Mennonite Disaster Relief in care of Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901
