Gilberto R. Aranda 66, died, Sunday June 22, 2014 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS.He was born February 4, 1948 in Ojinaga, Chih. Mexico, the son of Ramon Aranda and Maria Luz Elena Rodriguez. He was supervisor for T - L Irrigation and retired in Dec. 2013 after 43 years of service. On March 13, 1970, he married Arminda Ortega in Ulysses, KS. She survives.Other survivors include:1 Son Oracio Aranda Oklahoma City, OK3 Brothers Homero Aranda and wife Guadalupe Presidio, TX Sergio Aranda and wife Armida Mexico Omar Martin Aranda and companion Elaina Dumas, TXBrother-in-law Asencion Garcia of Alpine, TX3 Sisters Irma Madrid and husband Valente Dumas, TX Marta Elena Rodriguez and husband Oscar Liberal, KS Maria Margarita Veronica and husband Justino Liberal, KS2 Sister-in-laws Lola Aranda of Alpine, TX Melena Aranda of Presidio, TX1 Grandson Michael Aranda Oklahoma City, OKHe is preceded in death by his Parents, an infant Son Lupe Aranda, Brothers Hector and Jose Benito Aranda and one infant sister and a Sister Rosa Elva GarciaRosary and Vigil service will be held at 6:00 pm Wednesday at Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel.Graveside service will be held at 10:30 am Thursday at Restlawn Cemetery with Father James Dieker presiding. Visitation time will be 5 to 8pm Tuesday and 9am to 8 pm Wednesday at Brenneman Funeral Home.
