Jane D. Moore

Jane D. Moore, age 94, died Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Lone Tree Retirement Center in Meade, Kansas.She was born April 6, 1916 in Chanute, Kansas the daughter of Ernest W. and Winifred D. (Alexander) Moore. Her family moved to Liberal in 1928, where Jane attended the Liberal Schools, and then attended Ward Belmont in Nashville, Tennessee. She moved to Kansas City in 1947, and was employed by the Barnes-Jewish Hospital. She was active in the Methodist Church and a member of the Women’s Club.She returned to Southwest Kansas in 1970, living in Liberal & Hugoton, moving to Meade where she made her home in the Lone Tree Retirement Center in 1996.Although plagued by illness much of her life she was an avid reader and enjoyed painting as a hobby, and took great pleasure in her family. Moore and Tom E. Moore. Private Graveside Services will be held at Liberal Cemetery with Reverend David Randall presiding.
