John Henry Vallejos

John Henry Vallejos was 70 years old when he passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas.

John was born on December 10, 1953, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Johnnie and Marie (Gomez) Vallejos.

John enjoyed working as a truck driver for many years for Sernas in New Mexico.

His favorite past time was playing bingo where he made many lifelong friends. He was known by the nickname “canales”. He enjoyed eating tootsie roll pops while watching his classic westerns. He was a very loving father and brother. He enjoyed being the best uncle and grandfather he could be. He was never grumpy, always had such a humorous light to him. Nothing could bring him down, He also loved hearing and talking about his precious great grandbabies, especially Mykayla. John will be forever missed by his family and friends. 

John is survived by his only

Great grandchildren; Shayla,

Andrew,

And Romeo,

Brother, Michael Vallejos,

Sisters, Barbara Chavez (Lupe),

John was preceded in death by

His parents, John and Marie Vallejos, and

Grandson, Andrew Silva.

Visitation will be 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W. 2^nd Street, Liberal, Kansas.

Rosary will follow at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1510 N. Calhoun, Liberal, Kansas.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 28, 2024, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Reverend Charles Seiwert will be celebrating.
