Julia Alejandra Gutierrez

Julia Alejandra Gutierrez, age 40, died on Monday, August 31, 2026, at her residence in Liberal, Kansas.

She was born on June 30, 1986, in Juarez, Mexico, to Jose and Lourdes (Dominguez) Garcia Sierra.

Julia graduated from Liberal High School and was united in marriage to Hiram Gutierrez on October 6, 2007, in Liberal, Kansas. Together they built a life centered around God, love, family, and devotion. She was the cherished mother of three sons and one daughter, and her children were among the greatest joys of her life. Julia worked at Cottonwood Elementary and later served as secretary for Bright Start School, where her kindness and caring spirit touched many. Her faith in God drove her to serve others at the church, Iglesia De Jesucristo Palabra Miel alongside her husband served as a devoted pastor’s wife. She was deeply loved, and her memory will remain forever in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.

She is survived by her husband, Pastor Hiram Gutierrez of Liberal, Kansas,

Three sons, Levi Gutierrez, Ian Gutierrez, Abraham Gutierrez,

One daughter, Hannah Gutierrez, all of the home,

Two brothers, Andres Garcia and his wife, Maybeline of Wichita, Kansas,

Asiel Garcia of Liberal, Kansas,

One sister, Daisey Barkley and her husband, Andrew of Liberal, Kansas,

Niece, Sarah Barkley, and

Nephew, Lukas Barkley.

She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Asuncion Dominguez.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Thursday, September 10, 2026, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home Chapel, 1212 W 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas.

Funeral will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 11, 2026, at Iglesia De Jesucristo Palabra Miel, 216 W. Wilson, Liberal, Kansas. Pastor Jorge Gutierrez and Pastor William Messenger will be presiding.

A burial will follow at Restlawn Cemetery.

Julia Alejandra Gutiérrez, de 40 años, falleció el lunes 31 de agosto de 2026 en su residencia en Liberal, Kansas.

Nació el 30 de junio de 1986 en Juárez, México, hija de José y Lourdes (Domínguez) García Sierra.

Julia se graduó de Liberal High School y contrajo matrimonio con Hiram Gutiérrez el 6 de octubre de 2007 en Liberal, Kansas. Juntos construyeron una vida centrada en Dios, el amor, la familia y la devoción. Fue una madre muy querida de tres hijos y una hija, y sus hijos fueron una de las mayores alegrías de su vida. Julia trabajó en Cottonwood Elementary y más tarde se desempeñó como secretaria de Bright Start School, donde su bondad y espíritu servicial tocaron a muchas personas. Su fe en Dios la impulsó a servir a los demás en la iglesia Iglesia De Jesucristo Palabra Miel, donde, junto a su esposo, sirvió fielmente como esposa de pastor. Fue profundamente amada, y su memoria permanecerá para siempre en los corazones de su familia, amigos y de todos los que tuvieron la bendición de conocerla.

Le sobreviven su esposo, el pastor Hiram Gutiérrez de Liberal, Kansas;

Tres hijos: Levi Gutiérrez, Ian Gutiérrez y Abraham Gutiérrez;

Una hija, Hannah Gutiérrez, todos del hogar;

Dos hermanos: Andrés García y su esposa, Maybeline, de Wichita, Kansas;

Asiel García de Liberal, Kansas;

Una hermana, Daisey Barkley y su esposo, Andrew, de Liberal, Kansas;

Una sobrina, Sarah Barkley; y

Un sobrino, Lukas Barkley.

Le precedió en la muerte su abuelo, Asunción Domínguez.

La visitación será de 9:00 a. m. a 8:00 p. m., el jueves 10 de septiembre de 2026, en la capilla de Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas.

El funeral será a las 2:00 p. m. el viernes 11 de septiembre de 2026 en Iglesia De Jesucristo Palabra Miel, 216 W. Wilson, Liberal, Kansas. El pastor Jorge Gutiérrez y el pastor William Messenger presidirán el servicio.

El entierro seguirá en el cementerio Restlawn.
