Karen Sue Collins

Karen Sue Collins, age 60 died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011, at the Kansas Medical Center, in Andover, KS. She was born on March 11, 1951, in Denver, CO, the daughter of Sanford and Ellen Elizabeth (Villers) Caughman. She was a 1970 graduate of Liberal High School, attended Seward County Community College, and completed her education at Emporia State University.She was a member of Trinity Faith Church.She was a dedicated employee of Groendyke Transport, where she was a bookkeeper for 35 ½ years.She was very devoted to her granddaughter, with whom she enjoyed movies and bowling.On June 29, 1990, she married Everett L. Collins, in Liberal, KS. He survives.Other survivors include: 1 Daughter Karyn Larissa Collins Liberal, KS; 1 Brother Jerry Caughman Denver, CO; Mother-in-law Joan Collins Liberal, KSAunt; Veda Mae Britton Henderson, NV;1 Granddaughter Nevasiah D’nae DowningShe was preceded in death by her parents; twin brother, George Wayne Caughman; father-in-law, Loren Collins.Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 12, at Trinity Faith Church, with Pastor Dee Estes, presiding.
