Mae Gustin

Mae Gustin, 84, died Monday, January 17, 2011 at Southwest Medical Center, Liberal, KS. She was born October 10, 1926 in Hollis, Oklahoma the daughter of Daniel and Lela (Tice) Ford. She was a Merchant Marine in the 1950s.Mae owned and operated The Ice Cream Parlor in Eureka Springs, Ark and then was a hostess at the Liberal Inn for many years. She married Howard L. Goree, and later married Levene Gustin. They both preceded her in death.Survivors includeSon Monty L. Goree, Sr. and wife Gladys Dumas, TexasBrother Wendell Smotherman and wife Reba Liberal, Kansas2 Grandchildren Scooter Goree Dalhart, TX Dawn Goree Kismet, Kansas 7 Great-grandchildren and 4 Great-great grandchildrenShe was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Roberta L. Lee.Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Wyatt Carpenter presiding. Cremation has taken place.
