Manuel Jesus Erives

Manuel Jesus Erives, age 39, died on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at his home in Liberal, Kansas.

He was born on June 9, 1984, in Liberal, Kansas, to Jesus Erives and Betty Nuzum.  

Manuel worked in the oilfield industry. His greatest source of joy came from the love and support he received from his loving children Iban Cerda and Arlette Erives, family and friends.

As a father, Manuel was devoted to providing for his children. His pride in Iban and Arlette knew no bounds. Manuel's kindheartedness left an enduring mark on the hearts of his family, and friends.

Let us honor his memory by carrying forward his spirit of resilience and love for life. Although we bid farewell to our beloved Manuel, his impact on our lives will endure forever. 

He is survived by his son, Iban Erives and daughter, Arlette Erives, eight sisters, Teresa Penry of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Veronica Rivas and her husband, Jesus Rivas Escarcega of Guymon, Oklahoma, Yolanda Erives of Liberal, Rosario Estrada and her husband Ricardo Estrada of Liberal, Ramona Diaz and her husband Jose Diaz of Liberal, Jessica Erives and her husband Jose Sandoval of Liberal,  Andrea Erives of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Brianda Erives of Lawton, Oklahoma.

 He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesus Erives and Betty Nuzum, great nephew, Sebastian Estrada Gonzalez, and cousin, Ulises Erives.

 Visitation will be Wednesday, January 24, 2024, from 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home Chapel, 1212 W 2^nd Street, Liberal, Kansas, with the Funeral Service being held at 11:00 AM also at the funeral home chapel.  Reverend Charles Seiwert will be celebrating.

Manuel Jesús Erives, de 39 años, falleció el jueves 18 de enero de 2024 en su casa de Liberal, Kansas.

Nació el 9 de junio de 1984 en Liberal, Kansas, hijo de Jesús Erives y Betty Nuzum.

Manuel trabajó en la industria petrolera. Su mayor fuente de alegría provino del amor y apoyo que recibió de sus amados hijos Iban Erives y Arlette Erives, familiares y amigos.

Como padre, Manuel se dedicó a mantener a sus hijos. Su orgullo por Iban y Arlette no tenía límites. La bondad de Manuel dejó una huella duradera en los corazones de su familia y amigos.

Honremos su memoria llevando adelante su espíritu de resiliencia y amor por la vida. Aunque nos despedimos de nuestro querido Manuel, su impacto en nuestras vidas perdurará para siempre.

Le sobreviven su hijo, Iban Cerda y su hija, Arlette Navarro Erives, ocho hermanas, Teresa Penry de Council Bluffs, Iowa, Verónica Rivas y su esposo, Jesús Rivas Escarcega de Guymon, Oklahoma, Yolanda Erives de Liberal, Rosario Estrada y su esposo Ricardo Estrada de Liberal, Ramona Díaz y su esposo José Díaz de Liberal, Jessica Erives y su esposo José Sandoval de Liberal, Andrea Erives de Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Brianda Erives de Lawton, Oklahoma.

 Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Jesús Erives y Betty Nuzum, su sobrino nieto, Sebastián Estrada González, y su primo, Ulises Erives.

 El velorio será el miércoles 24 de enero de 2024, de 9:00 a. m. a 8:00 p. m., en la capilla de la funeraria Hornung Family, 1212 W 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas, y el funeral se llevará a cabo también a las 11:00 a. m. en la capilla del tanatorio. El reverendo Charles Seiwert estará celebrando.
