Maria Del Carmen Flores, age 67, died June 11, 2011 at her residence in Liberal. Maria del Carmen Flores was born Feb. 28, 1944 at Torreon,Coahuila, Mexico, the daughter of Lorenzo and Maximina (Igualate) Flores.She was a homemaker and had been a Liberal resident since 1989 moving from Juarez, Chih, Mexico. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.She is survived by 3 sons: Ernesto M. Flores and wife Griselda of Chino, CA; Lorenzo M. Rios and wife Margarita of Liberal, KS; Jesus J. Flores and wife Debi of Liberal, KS; 1 Daughter: Maria del Carmen Rios and husband Mario Ortiz of Liberal, KS; 3 Brothers: Lorenzo Flores of Pomona, CA; Gerardo Flores of Pomona, CA; Juan Manuel Flores of Juarez, Chih; 4 Sisters: Juanita Ramirez of Juarez, Chih; Teresa Tavarez of Riverside, CA; Socorro Gaytan of San Bernardino, CA; Guadalupe Flores of Amarillo, TX; 13 Grandchildren Sandy, Elizabeth, Ernie, America, Albert, Liz, Oscar, Rosy, Jesus, Christian, Jessica, Alex and Angel;8 Great-GrandchildrenJulian, Amanda, Fredi, Giovanni, Izek, Alonso, Damian and Jaylin.She was preceded in death by her parents, one Brother-Eusebio Flores, one Sister-Rosa Maria Flores and a nephew.Vigil and Rosary will be 7:00 pm Sunday, June 12th at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Liberal, KS.Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Monday, June 13th at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Fr. James P. Dieker presiding. Cremation will follow services and her cremains will be entombed in Iglesia El Señor de la Misericordia, Juarez, Chih, Mexico.Visitation will be 1 – 5 pm Sunday at Brenneman Funeral Home in Liberal, KS.
