Marion Frances Graber, 88 died Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at her residence in Liberal, KS. She was born February 26, 1927 in Edgerton, Kansas the daughter of Ernest and Ethel (Cole) Bundy. She graduated in 1945 as valedictorian from Peabody High School, Peabody, KS. Marion attended Kansas University for one year following High School. She moved to Liberal, KS in 1946.She was employed as a secretary to the president of National Beef and was the bookkeeper for Graber Tire and Service. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she played the organ for over 40 years. She also played the organ at the First Presbyterian Church for 30 years. She had a love for music and used her talent playing for many weddings and funerals. She was an avid sports fan and had a great love for KU sports. She had just received a letter from Head Basketball Coach Bill Self. She and her family would many times after church on Sundays play golf. She also had a passion for gardening, crossword puzzles and other mind games. On July 28, 1946 she married Eugene “Gene” Graber in Peabody, KS. He died Jan. 27, 2010.Other survivors include.1 Son - Tom Graber and wife Kim Blythewood, SC1 Daughter - Carol Bruce Nashua, NH1 Sister - Edith Johnson and husband Harold Sacramento, CA8 Grandchildren - Leslie Bois, Nashua, NH; Ashley Akinyemi, New York City, New York; Lindsay Stathos, Waldorf, MD; Brandon Bruce, Orlando, FL; Ryan Bruce Nashua, NH; Kyle Graber, Rocky Point, NC; Lauren and Sara Graber, Columbia, SC.5 Grandchildren Preston & Ella Bois, Noah & Charlotte Akinyemi New York City, New York and Heidi Stathos, Waldorf, MD. She is preceded in death by two brothers - Lewis and Russell Bundy and a sister Virginia Rose Campbell. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 8th, at the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Keith Anglemyer presiding. Burial will be held at Liberal Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 7th, from 1-5 PM at Brenneman Funeral Home. The family will be present to greet friends from 3-5 PM. In lieu of flowers and plants memorial contributions can be sent to The First United Methodist Church in care of Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901.
