Minnie 'Sue" Belle Ediger

Minnie Belle (Sue) Ediger, Age 89, of Liberal, Kansas, died Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Good Samaritan Nursing Center. She was born in Ringwood, Oklahoma on September 6, 1932, the daughter of Charles F. and Mildred (Combs) Surls. Minnie Graduated from Fallbrook High School in Fallbrook, California. She attended Nazarene Bible College in Pasadena, California, which is now known as Point Loma College, in San Diego, California. She also attended Seward County Community College where she received her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree. She married Walter Paul Ediger on May 16, 1959, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was a homemaker. A former member of the Colorado Cowbelles, and active in AWANA, taught Sunday School, being a part of the Good News Club. She attended First Southern Baptist Church. Minnie loved to read in her time of relaxation. Minnie is survived by her son Rick Ediger and his wife Connie of Poncha Springs, Colorado. Her Daughter-in-Law, Wynelle Ediger of Meade, Kansas. Her daughter Karen Sulek and her husband Mike of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Brothers Dechontal Surls, Arvada, Colorado and Lee Surls, San Juancito, California. Her sister Wanda Miller of Columbia, Tennessee. She was the loving Grandmother of Caleb Ediger, Aubree Ediger, step-grandson Josiah Gertge, Shaina (Gabe) Honsberger, Sherrese (Kendall) Regier, Kyle (Katie) Sulek, Kara (Mark) Minyard, Abby Sulek, and the Proud Great Grandmother of four. She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband of 62 Years Walter, Son Ivan, Brothers Gary and Dwain Surls and sister Charlotte Cox. Visitation with the family present will be Sunday, February 20, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 pm at the Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 West 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas. Funeral Services will be Monday, February 21, 2022, at 10:00 AM at the First Southern Baptist Church, 621 North Western Avenue, Liberal, Kansas. Pastor Randy Caddell will Preside. Interment will be in the Turpin Mennonite Cemetery in Turpin, Oklahoma.
