Rodney Livingston

Rodney Livingston, age 59, died on Sunday, October 26, 2025, in Maricopa, Arizona.

He was born on December 2, 1965 in Liberal, Kansas to Gilford and Ledal (Jones) Livingston.

Rodney attended school in Liberal, Kansas and graduated from Liberal High School in 1984. After graduating, Rodney worked at National Beef Packing Company. In the same year he met Heather Carlsgaard and they became inseparable and started a family together. Rodney would later find that he had a gift for electrical repair and worked for Davis Electric, Triple A Electric and Joe Harvey Electric.

In 2006, he and Heather moved their family to Maricopa, Arizona where he completed his career path in electrical repair with Franklin Foods.

With Rodney, his family was everything. He loved his wife, Heather and all six of his children and grandchildren. One of his traditions on Sunday mornings was to make full breakfasts on his Blackstone Grill for the family. Cooking was one of his talents and he enjoyed watching his family enjoy those times.

One of the most memorable things about Rodney was his sense of humor. He will always be remembered for making people laugh until it hurt. Rodney was not the person you wanted to sit beside during a serious meeting. Rodney had a personality that filled a room when he walked in. He will be missed and forever loved by his wife , children, grandchildren, brothers and everyone that had the pleasure of knowing him.

Omari all of Arizona.

Visitation will be 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Friday, November 7, 2025, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Bibleway Church of God in Christ, 410 E. 8th Street, Liberal, Kansas, with Pastors Charles DeVorce and Tolbert Livingston presiding.

A burial will follow at Liberal Cemetery.
