Rosa Hernandez Aguirre, age 59, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 15, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas. Born on August 30, 1965, in Canutillo, Durango, Mexico, Rosa was the beloved daughter of Cruz Hernandez and Tomasa Aguirre.

In 1987, Rosa married the love of her life, Manuel Gameros, in Mexico. Together they built a home filled with love, faith, and unwavering dedication. Their union was blessed with two children and, later, three adored grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life.

Rosa was a hardworking and respected employee in Fabrication at National Beef, where she dedicated over 30 years of service. Her strong work ethic, integrity, and quiet strength earned the admiration of her coworkers and community alike.

To her family, Rosa was everything—a devoted wife, a loving mother, and the most doting grandmother. She was the heart of her home: selfless, nurturing, and endlessly kind. Rosa was always ready to help anyone in need, never turning away someone who needed support. Her generosity and warmth touched the lives of all who knew her.

Rosa also enjoyed the simple joys in life. Monday nights were sacred for one special tradition she never missed—bingo. It was her time to relax, laugh, and enjoy the moment, something she looked forward to each week.

Rosa is survived by her loving husband, Manuel Gameros; her children, Gerardo Gameros and his wife Alejandra, and Denise Gameros and her husband Luis Lopez; and her beloved grandchildren, Luna Gameros, Luis Gameros, and Sugely Lopez, all of Liberal, Kansas.

She is also survived by her cherished siblings: brothers Catarino Hernandez and Raymundo Hernandez; and sisters Tomasa Gameros, Maria Luisa Reyes, Rosa Emma Hernandez, Eustolia Arzola, Francisca Hernandez, Cruz Hernandez, and Ana Jacques.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cruz Hernandez and Tomasa Aguirre, and her brothers Antonio Hernandez and Jesus Baltazar Hernandez.

Rosa's legacy is one of love, strength, and service to others. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Visitation will be 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas.

The Rosary will follow at 7:00 PM, Thursday, August 21, 2025, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1510 N. Calhoun in Liberal, Kansas.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM, Friday, August 22, 2025, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Reverend Clifford Oyati will be celebrating.

A burial will follow at Liberal Cemetery.

Rosa Hernández Aguirre, de 59 años, falleció pacíficamente el viernes 15 de agosto de 2025 en Lubbock, Texas. Nacida el 30 de agosto de 1965 en Canutillo, Durango, México, Rosa era la querida hija de Cruz Hernández y Tomasa Aguirre.

En 1987, Rosa se casó con el amor de su vida, Manuel Gameros, en México. Juntos construyeron un hogar lleno de amor, fe y dedicación inquebrantable. Su unión fue bendecida con dos hijos y, más tarde, tres adorados nietos que le dieron una inmensa alegría a su vida.

Rosa era una empleada trabajadora y respetada en el departamento de Fabricación de National Beef, donde dedicó más de 30 años de servicio. Su fuerte ética de trabajo, integridad y gran fuerza le valieron la admiración de sus compañeros de trabajo y de la comunidad.

Para su familia, Rosa lo era todo: una esposa devota, una madre amorosa y la abuela más cariñosa. Era el corazón de su hogar: desinteresada, cariñosa e infinitamente amable. Rosa siempre estaba dispuesta a ayudar a cualquiera que lo necesitara, nunca rechazaba a nadie que necesitara apoyo. Su generosidad y calidez tocaron las vidas de todos los que la conocieron.

Rosa también disfrutaba de las pequeñas alegrías de la vida. Los lunes por la noche eran sagrados para una tradición especial que nunca se perdía: el bingo. Era su momento para relajarse, reír y disfrutar del momento, algo que esperaba con ilusión cada semana.

Rosa le sobreviven su amado esposo, Manuel Gameros; sus hijos, Gerardo Gameros y su esposa Alejandra, Denise Gameros y su esposo Luis López; y sus queridos nietos, Luna Gameros, Luis Gameros y Sugely López, todos de Liberal, Kansas.

También le sobreviven sus queridos hermanos: Catarino Hernández y Raymundo Hernández; y sus hermanas Tomasa Gameros, María Luisa Reyes, Rosa Emma Hernández, Eustolia Arzola, Francisca Hernández, Cruz Hernández y Ana Jacques.

Le precedieron en muerte sus padres, Cruz Hernández y Tomasa Aguirre, y sus hermanos Antonio Hernández y Jesús Baltazar Hernández.

El legado de Rosa es de amor, fortaleza y servicio a los demás. Su recuerdo vivirá para siempre en los corazones de su familia, amigos y todos aquellos que tuvieron la suerte de conocerla.

La vigilia será tendrá lugar el jueves 21 de agosto de 2025, de 11:00 a. m. a 5:00 p. m., en la funeraria Hornung Family Funeral Home, situada en 1212 W 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas.

El Rosario seguirá a las 7:00 p. m. del jueves 21 de agosto de 2025 en la iglesia católica St. Anthony of Padua, 1510 N. Calhoun, Liberal, Kansas.

La misa fúnebre será celebrará a las 10:00 a. m. del viernes 22 de agosto de 2025 en la iglesia católica St. Anthony of Padua. Oficiada por el reverendo Clifford Oyati.
