Rosalie “Rose” Hazel Luck, age 92, died on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Good Samaritan Society in Liberal, Kansas.
She was born on March 2, 1933, in Orion, Kansas, to Howard and Nora (Beougher) Moore.
After graduating high school in 1951, Rose worked as a secretary for Panhandle Eastern and Elkhart Elementary. She married Donald Lyle Luck in 1954 and was especially proud to be the wife and mother of five children. Rose participated actively in United Methodist Women, Needles and Friends Quilt Guild, and Mother to Mother Ministry, reflecting her dedication to outreach, supporting mothers, and quilting. She was an avid quilter and had made quilts for all of her children and 11 grandchildren. She had also made quilts for many special friends. She loved sharing her talents with others.
Her nurturing spirit and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her children, Jeff Luck and his wife, Barbara of Elkhart, Kansas, Kenny Luck of Elkhart, Kansas, Nancy Edmundson and her husband, Stuart of Burlington, Colorado, Darla Myers and her husband, Dwain of Ulysses, Kansas, Daughter-in-law, Peggy Luck of Ft. Worth, Texas, Sister, Anita Davis and her husband Cleon of Hill City, Kansas,
Grandchildren, Eric Luck and his wife, Wendy, Adam Luck, Megan Edmundson and Conet, Tyler Edmundson and his wife, Melinda, Jeremy Luck and his wife, Susie, Micaela Ayala and her husband, Matt, Christopher Luck, Aubrianna Luck, Lindsay Myers, Hannah McCollum and her husband, Barry, Tyler Luck and his wife, Sasha,

She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Nora Moore, husband, Donald Luck, one son, Lonnie Luck, one granddaughter, Jessica Luck, two brothers, and four sisters.
Visitation will be 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Monday, December 15, 2025, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Liberal United Methodist Church, 116 W 3rd St, Liberal, Kansas. Pastor Rex Petty and Pastor Rusty Husted will be presiding.
A burial will be at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Hill City, Kansas.
