Our father, Wallace Williams 72, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 4, 2026, in the comfort of his home, in Liberal, surrounded by family listening to scripture. Born on August 10, 1953, in Amory, Mississippi, he overcame the early loss of his mother at a very young age he grew up with a resilient spirit. Despite the challenges, he built a life full of love, strength, and unwavering faith.
He was a devoted husband to Amy Willams and a loving father to Maria, Taylor and Kristina. His deep faith in God and love for scripture was central to his life, and he found great joy in sharing that faith with those around him. He was a pillar of spiritual strength, offering comfort and hope through his unwavering belief.
Wallace was known for his kindness, sense of humor, and dedication to family and faith. He touched the lives of everyone around him and left a legacy of love, faith, and resilience.
He spent his career as a dedicated professional, working offshore drilling in Africa before founding and operating his own construction company. He was truly a 'jack of all trades and a master of all,' known for his ability to handle any challenge with precision and skill.
He is survived by his wife, Amy Williams of Liberal, Kansas,
Three daughters, Maria Tomasita Williams and her son, Elijah Anthony Galaviz,
Taylor and her husband, Travis and children, Tobias, Takoda, Thorin, Tyrson, and Talon Graves, and
Kristina and her children, Zaiden Lee Mendiola, Hadley Rose Mendiola, and Juniper Grace Wright,
Four brothers, Larry Williams and his wife, Kay and family,
Garry Williams and his wife, Peggy and family,
Joel Williams and his wife, Sylvia and family,
Tony Bryson and family,
Five Sister, Janice McMann and family,
Wanda Walker and family,
Debbie Gibbs and family,
Shelia Hackett and her husband, Clayton and family,
And Denice Welch and her husband, Randy and family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Williams,
Nieces and nephews, Tonya Renée Harmon, Marty Stephenson, Christy Williams, Deshay Williams, and Jerry Frank.
Memorial Services will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home Chapel, 112 W. 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas. Pastor Aaron Kohen will be officiating.
For those unable to attend in person, the funeral service will be livestreamed on the Hornung Family Funeral Home Facebook page.
