William (Bill) Dean Harrison 84, died, Monday, May 23, 2016 at his home in Liberal, KS. He was born May 14, 1932 in Greensburg, KS, the son of Isam Harry and Bertha (Sutton) Harrison. He graduated from Liberal High School in 1951. On June 15, 1952 he married Helen Louise Pierce at the First Presbyterian Church in Liberal. Bill worked for Nash Finch as a Warehouse Supervisor, Beech Aircraft as a Sheet Metal Assembler and Custodian for the First Christian Church (DOC). Bill served as Seward County Undersheriff for 23 years retiring in 1997.He was a member of the Elks Lodge #1947 and the Pancake Lions Club.Survivors include:Wife Helen Liberal, KS3 Sons Wm. Joseph (Joe) D.O. and wife Connie of Durant, OK. Daniel Lee (Dan) of Liberal. Martin (Mart) and wife Sherrie of Liberal.There are 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by 4 Brothers, Isam Gene, Donald Raymond, Richard James and Jack Merle Harrison and Sister, Patsy Marie Harrison Rodkey.Memorial Service will be 2:30 PM Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the First Christian Church (DOC) with Pastor Terry Ford officiating.The family will greet friends at a gathering Friday, May 27th from 5 to 7:30 PM at the Brenneman Funeral Home.Private Inurnment will be in Restlawn Cemetery.Memorials may be given in Bill’s name to the First Christian Church (DOC) in care of Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd St. Liberal, KS 67901Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brennemanfuneralhome.com
